Hello there.
We are the Try Team.  Incase you don't know us, we are Shari Sakamoto, Stefanie Kawasaki, and Meghan Dougherty.   The three of us have been friends for over 25 years and it's safe to say that most of our time spent together doesn't include exercising (unless you consider karaoke and wine drinking a competitive sport.) So it's truly amazing that we're participating in a tryathalon together on Sept 30th.  Meghan will be starting the race with a .9 mile swim in the "open water" of Venice Beach.  After Stef peels off Meg's wetsuit, she will bike a whopping 24 miles from Venice to Downtown LA.  She will then pass the baton to Shari for the final leg of the race which is a 10k run into LA Live.  We will all cheer her across the finish line with mimosas in hand!   
 
So why are we telling you all of this?  (Aside from bragging rights.)  We decided to make this tryathalon about more than just physically abusing our 33 year old bodies.  We've actually turned this into a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which is an organization very near and dear to our hearts.  As some of you may know, Meg had Hodgkins Lymphoma eight years ago.  Luckily it was caught very early and after 6 months of grueling chemotherapy (and the support of her amazing friends of family) she received a clean bill of health.  We all feel very fortunate that Meg was able to make a full recovery and want to raise enough money to make sure that everyone else diagnosed with any kind of cancer is fortunate enough to do the same.
 
So seriously, give us money.  We've had cancer.  We're working out.  We're not partying as much.  We're old. And basically we're begging you to support us.  100% of all the money donated goes directly the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
